Who we are
Kalpabriksha Technologies is a software and automation studio based in Itahar, West Bengal, India, working with clients in India and abroad. For anything you send us through this website, we are the ones responsible for that information.
This policy covers https://kalpabriksha.in and the enquiries we receive through it. If you would rather ask a person than read a policy, write to [email protected] and we will answer directly.
Information we collect
We only collect what you type into the contact form. There is nothing else on this site that asks you for information.
- Name
- So we can address you properly in our reply.
- Email address
- Our primary way of replying to you. Required.
- Phone number
- Only if you prefer a call. Optional, and we will not cold-call you.
- Company
- Helps us understand the context of the work. Optional.
- Project type
- Tells us which of our services your enquiry relates to.
- Budget range
- Lets us tell you honestly and early whether the scope is realistic.
- Project details
- What you actually want built. This is the part we read most carefully.
There are no user accounts, no logins and no payment details on this website. We do not ask for identity documents, and we never ask for passwords or API keys through the contact form.
Information collected automatically
Like every website, ours sits on a web server that keeps standard request logs — your IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested, the page you came from and the time of the request. Our hosting provider generates these logs and we use them only to keep the site online, diagnose faults and block abuse.
We do not build profiles from these logs, and we do not connect them to the enquiries we receive.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To prepare a proposal, quote or scope document for the work you asked about.
- To keep a record of our conversation so we have context if you come back to us later.
- To send project-related communication once we are working together.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations that apply to the engagement.
That is the complete list. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, lead-list building or automated profiling, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us once.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no session-recording or heatmap tools. There is nothing here that follows you between sites, which is also why you will not find a cookie-consent banner on this page.
The one thing we do store is a single browser entry named kb-visited, kept in your browser session storage. Its only job is to stop the intro animation replaying every time you move between pages. It contains no identifier, it is never sent to our server, and your browser discards it as soon as you close the tab.
Where your enquiry goes
When you submit the contact form, your enquiry is written to a private log file on our own server so that no message is ever lost, and then delivered to our company mailbox over an authenticated, encrypted mail connection.
Only the founder and, where necessary, the team member working on your project can read those enquiries. They are not exported into any third-party CRM or marketing tool.
Third-party services
We keep outside services to a minimum, but a few are loaded by this page or reachable from it. Each one can see your IP address and browser when your device connects to it.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the typefaces this site uses.
- unpkg — serves the Lucide icon library used for the small icons throughout the site.
- jsDelivr — serves the Motion animation library that powers the page transitions.
- Calendly — used only if you choose to book a call; you enter your details on their platform, not ours.
- WhatsApp — used only if you choose to start a chat with us.
- Our email provider — receives and stores the enquiry emails sent from the contact form.
- Our hosting provider — runs the server this site is served from and keeps the request logs described above.
Once you follow a link to Calendly or WhatsApp you are on their platform, and their own privacy policies apply to what you do there. We have no control over how they handle your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation or project is active, and for 24 months afterwards so we still have context if you return. After that they are deleted. Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, are held for the period the law requires.
Server request logs are rotated and cleared on our hosting provider's normal schedule. If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we will.
How we protect it
- The site is served over HTTPS, so what you submit is encrypted in transit.
- Enquiry emails are delivered over an authenticated, encrypted connection.
- Mail credentials and configuration files are stored outside the publicly served part of the site and are blocked from being downloaded.
- Access to the mailbox and the server is limited to the people who need it.
We would rather be honest than reassuring: no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We take these measures seriously, but we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we would ask you not to send passwords, card details or other sensitive credentials through the contact form.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over the information we hold about you. You can exercise any of them by emailing [email protected].
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your enquiry and any related records we are not legally required to keep.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, after which we will stop contacting you.
- Raise a grievance about how we have handled your data, and have it addressed.
We answer these requests within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may exercise the equivalent rights available to you under the GDPR, and we will treat your request the same way.
Data inside client projects
When we build or maintain a system for a client, we sometimes need access to environments that hold that client's own customer data. We treat it as strictly confidential, use it only to deliver the agreed work, never copy it out for our own purposes, and remove our access once the engagement ends.
In that situation the client decides what happens to their data and we act on their instructions. If you are a customer of one of our clients, their privacy policy is the one that governs your data, not this one.
Children's privacy
Our services are sold to businesses and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — a new tool, a different mail provider — we will update this page and change the date shown at the top of it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
